Passionate followers of the actress are demanding that a man who leaped a barrier and grabbed the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.

A widely shared video reveals the individual from Australia shoving aside camera operators and charging at Grande while the cast proceeded down a promenade accompanied by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly pulled the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being taken in", though official papers indicated that he was scheduled to appear on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

Pattern of Incidents

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram feed features clips of him disrupting other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney show in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last year.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Fans Show Disapproval Over Grande's Safety

Numerous supporters criticized Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed suffering from PTSD after a devastating incident at the end of her 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and injuring numerous individuals.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote a further message on Instagram.

Some fans also questioned event staff at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while some called for online networks to remove Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In footage shared widely, Grande looked startled when she was grabbed by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the event, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.

Many of fans had assembled in a mass of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore venue, including a number who had queued for as long as eight hours before it began.

The motion picture, to be released on 21 November, is the sequel of a dual version of the acclaimed theatrical show Wicked, which centers on the surprising friendship between two contrasting sorceresses.

The show itself is a adaptation of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was dressed in a rosé glittering gown at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful film of 2024 in the UK, and earned a dozen Academy Award nods, earning a pair for outstanding attire and production design.
